Chilly Beach and Yume Love

Back to reality.... no more big holiday/weekend until end of July when the semester is finished. Even then, I have a feeling my school will make me sit there with no classes again while everyone else is at home.
I was sooo not in the mood to teach, good thing this week should go by fast because I had Monday and Tuesday off.
I mentioned that I had a big outting yesterday. I was going to a beach right next to Incheon Island (where the international airport is) and it was a 2.5hour journey by subway and bus!!
I was dressed for the beach but it was 10C there!! Stupid weather forecasts...it said it would be 29C in Seoul, but for some reason the island that we went to (Muui Do) was no where near that lovely beach temperature. It was all misty, foggy and just plain cold!! Can you tell I was freezing? I used the towel I brought as a blanket.

I went with some teachers including Tim and the 2 that live in our building (funny we haven't went out till a few months ago..never really had a chance to meet). As soon as we got there, we had to pay the ferry, bus and beach entrance fees. Why would they charge us to enter a beach? Anyway, it was chilly but we still went to a restaurant by the beach and ate on the patio. This huge bowl of noodle soup (enough for 3) was the only thing I had to warm me up. It was sooo tasty!!! The soup and vegies were simple but the amount of clams that was underneath the noodles was enough to satisfy anyone's craving of shellfish.

Going back to school wasn't all that bad. I got my swap package from Yumeko! I was really surprised!!! I was expecting the brush roll to just arrive with a few items because we intended to do a mini blind swap as well. But Yumeko hooked me up!! I'm speechless. I'm gonna get you back one day for all the extra goodies you sent! I hope you liked the swap pack I sent you!!!! Thank you soooo much!!!! <3<3<3> I think I almost died opening the package. It's like eyeshadow heaven! I'm gonna use that Integrate shadow tomorrow and try to take an EOTD. The pink box is a pink blush by I think the Heroine brand. She also sent me a tub of whipped soap that smells absolutely delicious and she included a bottle of Happy Bath Day Fragrance Hair Essence. I'm not too sure what it is. Is it a styling product or hair fragrance? Help Yumeko!

I was tagged by Eri for "What I look like now". LoL..oh gosh..this is like the most unflattering picture of me and my nose haha. My hair's flat, the camera angle is weird...etc etc...but that's me at school. I don't care too much, as long as I have my face on. Can you tell I love the brush roll? I love them bunnies...or anything cute hehe.
I was at school...trying to take a picture without my teachers noticing me. I don't think they would have cared anyway. They'd probably think I was looking at a mirror just like them. They look at theirs at every chance they get.

I'm too far behind on posts to know who's been tagged or not hahaha. So I'm not tagging anyone for this cuz I don't wanna make a duplicate mistake! XD
Well I'm off to sleep so I won't be catching up on all blogs till tomorrow. I miss everyone!!!!

Long Weekend

These past few days I feel like I've been doing a lot of non stop going out!! Starting on Thursday when I had the field trip to some park during my meeting, then magic bar on Friday, shopping on Saturday, shopping on Sunday and going to a bar till late at night and more shopping and walking today! I've had no time to catch up on blogs or comments -__-'
Tomorrow is another full going out day to the Incheon island (where the international airport is). There's supposed to be beaches around that area and tomorrow is a toasty 27C, perfect beach weather.
This post is a a pile of pictures and happenings from the past few days, so it's kinda everywhere.
Here's a pic of my lunch last weekend. This whole set was less than $7CAD! I got my fill of hand made noodles...mmmm....

Today's dinner was at a Thai place, very fast food-esque. I didn't really like it because my bowl of rice noodles was really spicy, but I did find this on the menu...for those who are adventerous hahaha...

I tried using this Lunasol palette in a different way. I'm not too creative.
For this EOTD, I used this whole palette plus the Coffret D'or FS Eyes in gold. I didn't use the mascara in this set because it kinda sucks.

I blended both medium shades together onto my entire lid then blended the darkest brown on the outer. I'm not too good at blending that shade. It doesn't look like a big blob in person, I don't know why it does in the picture.
It doesn't stand out very much, you actually can't tell that I tried to do something different unless I closed my eyes.

Anyone remember this cover of the Vivi magazine with Ayu?? Well....

Look what I got biatches! There's a lot of these actually, I didn't think Ayu was this popular in Korea...maybe this print is something they picked up from Japan because it's popular there?? The first store I went to, sold it for 20,000won. The second store sold it for 10,000won so I got it. Then another store sold it for 5000won!! Oh well, 10,000won is still a good price for a top.

There was also one that had color on it hahaha, I didn't get that...a bit too extreme.

I'm not looking forward to going back to school on Wednesday.... I have to finish planning a lesson to teach for Friday....blah!

Long Overdue Post

Sorry I've been MIA, I haven't much to blog about lately, so here's a big post XD
Yesterday, I went out with a few friends whom I haven't seen since the orientation in September. I haven't been keeping in touch with most of the teachers I've met. I'm not good at talking to people...you know when sometimes you don't click with some and do with others? Well, for these friends, I felt like we knew each other for years. I dunno why we didn't go out before!
One of them took us to a magician's bar that he hangs out at everyweek to practice. We got to see 2 up close and personal magic shows at the bar and it was SOO amazing!!! The best part was the 2 mini shows was 30000won and it included all you can drink alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks! I'm bummed I didn't take any pictures!! If you come to Seoul, I'll definitely let you know where it is.

Today, I went out to do some window shopping/getting some swap items and I happened to find Pepper Lunch. I've actually tried looking for it before and couldn't find it. I've had it in the Hong Kong branch and it was SUPER tasty!!! I don't think I've shown a picture of it, but the picture below is from Hong Kong.
The Pepper Lunch in Korea was really disappointing. Not only was the portion of beef small, but it was dry and lacked the Pepper Lunch herbed butter!!! Seeing this picture makes me drool..

I rarely play around with different looks, so today's look wasn't anything special. I used my T'estimo Grande Shine Eyes #02. It has a really nice icey lavender shade. It doesn't pop out as much as the Lunasol Purple Gradation palette so this is good if you want subtle colors.
I've shown this look a while ago for Lady L's contest, but in that picture, I've added the Coffret D'or Shining Eyeliner. This time I didn't use the Shining Eyeliner and I've used the P&J Eyegloss in 03 as a base.

I looove the P&J cream shadow. It's so smooth and it doesn't crease! Normally, after a few hours this palette would show signs of creasing (even with UDPP), but with the P&J cream shadow used as a base, there was no creasing and little fading.
I blended the gray shade almost halfway up to make this look stand out a bit more, but you don't notice it in the photos...actually the colors just don't appear very well in the pictures.

I think I look like a mess in this picture haha. I was rushing to head out the door cuz I was hungry!

I found a vintage store in Myeong Dong and it takes a lot of patience to go through the clothes. I found this long top with a printed necklace dangly thing and it was only 5000won! I added my glasses necklace as well so it wouldn't look too plain.

Again, Vivi always seems to start selling their issues that are a month ahead. I grabbed June issue because sometimes they sell really quickly.
You can see on the bottom that I got the ring that Miss Mona helped me make! I wanted a cluster ring for a long time already but couldn't seem to find the right one, so I asked Mona if she could make it for me. You're a total genius! I got it in a silver, black and clear Swarovski crystal mix so it'll match with my clothes easier. I love it!!! Thankq again!! =D Visit her store here!

Sorry I didn't take a close up, I'm in a bit of a rush to post this up so I can sleep, it's almost 2am @__@ But take a look here for a close up =)
I took a quick glance at the Vivi magazine and saw these Samantha Thavasa bags and they're so pretty and girly!!

The lovely Ayumi...I'm keeping my eye out for that book! But I really doubt that Korea will have it.. I'm not even too sure what's in it at the moment.

Finally, a different way of using the Maquillage GR366 palette. I prefer the look from the tutorial on the Maquillage website because it looks more summery. I think this would look nice for a night out look.
