Lady L's Contest #1 Entry

I finally got off my ass to do Lady L's contest #1. This is a look for the holidays and it actually took me forever to get the eye makeup the way I wanted it. The Aube Jewellery Shower eyes was so hard to blend!!! GGARRHHH! I don't think I love the palette as much as before. It makes me look like I have a bruised eye, so I have to blend in some silver shades to soften it. Anyway here are my looks plus close ups of my eye. Good luck to those who entered!

I finally got my plaid tights! Love em!!! This is a one piece top, the skirt looking part is attached to the gray shirt.
I'm slowly trying to change my wardrobe to more girly girl things. I usually opt for a simple top, jeans and Converse, so un-girly XD. Next I gotta find me some nice boots and heels that don't kill my wide ugly feet. Flats can only do so much for me, I want something more girly!

And my 12000won hat that actually flattens the side of my hair a bit to much. It's actually harder to wear than I thought. If I don't have my bangs in certain positions, it looks like it's sticking on my fore head, or my hair on the side looked mushed etc etc...

Everything is so pale...I don't understand how some bloggers like Yumeko or Fuzkittie can get such good pictures of their Japanese brand eye makeup, it just doesn't show well when I take them >_<

What I used:
Skinfood Aloe Sun BB Cream 02
UDPP
Sana Concealer
Lavshuca Loose Powder in Lucent
Integrate e/l black
MAC Fluidline in Blitz and Glitz
Coffret D'or Star Dazzling Liner WT-04
Aube Jewellery Shower Eyes #31
Coffret D'or 3D Lighting Eyes #03 silver shade only
Diorshow mascara
Deja Vu Fiberwig
T'estimo blush in PK-18
Majolica Majorca Rouge Majex BE205

I didn't realize how many items I used until I listed them XD
I used the look from the December issue of Vivi magazine as a guideline cuz I loved the look so much. (First scan on my previous post)

Milk Mania!!!!

I threw out the last little bit of my Laneige pore clear cleansing foam because it started to irritate my skin. I think the wee little scrubbers were too much for my dry cheeks, especially because it's starting to get dry outside.
I purchased the Skinfood Mlik Mania Cleansing Foam for 5300won(?) for 150mL. The tube is an ugly gray color but the sticker has a really cute cow picture on it. I think that's why I ended up buying it XD Plus I like foaming face cleansers, it's more fun that way.

I mix a bit of water with a nickel sized amount of cleanser, this creates enough foam to give my face a super lather.
The color is white with a pearly shine to it ooooh! I love the smell!!!!! It's like sweet milky candy mixed with a hint of coconut. This is a great cleanser so far. It doesn't leave a super squeaky feeling which I like. My skin feels cleansed and smooth but not tight. I likie, especially because it's so cheap. There's not much more to talk about it haha, so just imagine the smell of delicious milky coconut candy goodness.

One of my dinners on the weekend consisted of wings. This bar was apparently opened by Canadians so I would assume they knew how to make yummy N.American food.....how wrong I was...

The wings were fried up well, but the sauce was EEEWWWW. The BBQ wings were dunked into luke warm oyster sauce (ho yau) texture crap that tasted a thickened sour worcestershire sauce. The "creamy cool" flavour was just...sour and super spicy. Not very tasty at all and they cost 800won each.

The nastiest poutine I've ever had. The fries were soggy and there was very little cheese. The gravey was something interesting. It tasted like thickened instant noodle soup packets.
Safe to say I'm never going to that bar again.

Hanskin: Super Magic BB Cream

I finally finished my Caviar BB Cream. That tiny little packet actually lasted 5-8 uses because I don't put on a heavy layer. Now on to the Super Magic BB Cream.
I got a 30g tube which will probably last me forever because I use very little BB cream each time.
The features of this BB cream are whitening, wrinkle care, heavier coverage and sun protection. This formula is made for those with normal to dry skin. I'd imagine this would work well for the dry winter months.

I think all Hanskin BB creams come in one shade, I haven't found out if they offer other shades yet. The shade of this bb cream has some pink undertones to it. This is more liquidy that the caviar bb cream I used.
Once I finish blending it, my face is noticeably paler than usual and it takes a few minutes before it fully blends with my skintone, this is the same with the caviar bb cream.
I don't often put foundation/bb cream on my whole face, only on areas that I think needs some coverage and only in small amounts which is why I don't often notice how well the makeup stays on.

I don't really like the Super Magic BB Cream because blending it is such a pain in the ass. My face actually looks dry as I'm putting it on. The caviar bb cream blends more easily on my skin without noticeable dryness. Another thing with the Super Magic BB Cream is the fact that it feels a bit icky and my face was a bit more oily later in the afternoon.
Oh well, at least I know the Caviar Gold BB Cream works well for me XD
I leave you with some Vivi December 2008 scans. Some ideas for pretty winter/holiday makeup! So preeeettty!
