Fairy Drops Platinum Mascara (Film Type)

I've always been a loyal user of the DejaVu Fiberwig mascara. I think I started using it about 7-8 years ago? I can't remember. But it was always my go-to because it would never smudge and it came off easily with warm water. The only thing was, it never really gave a lot of volume, which is why I'm always on the look out for a new mascara.
While shopping around on Adambeauty, I noticed the Fairy Drops mascara in the film type, which means it stays on like the Fiberwig mascara and comes off with warm water. I never had any luck with the first Fairy Drops that was released years ago because it smudged on me. However, the Platinum Film type promises to stay put while giving length and curl.
I think there's fibers in it. If there is, it's barley noticeable. The wand is curved with 3 ball-like shapes to help catch onto all the lashes.
The formula isn't too wet, which is great for me because wetter formulas tend to weigh my lashes down.
Here's the before and after picture. My lashes are barely noticeable and this is before I curled them.
..and after. I used about 2 coats of mascara, if I added more it started to weigh my lashes down.
This is a decent mascara. It stays put all day and doesn't smudge or flake. On my left eye, it's pretty good at holding the curl, but my right eye lashes doesn't really stay. It lengths pretty well but at the same time, if I apply more for length, my lashes start to droop, so I wouldn't repurchase a new one once I run out, I'd rather try another film type mascara...the hunt continues for the perfect mascara!

Dolly Wink Pencil Eye Color (glitter)

For the longest time, Adambeauty didn't have the Dolly Wink Pencil Eye Color in stock, but I finally got it!
This is a smaller version of regular pencil liners used for highlighting along the lower lashline or waterline. The size is similar to the Dolly Wink mascaras. The smaller size didn't matter too much since I only need very little to highlight anyway.
The texture is fairly smooth, but sometimes I have to warm it up on my hand before applying. It only comes in one color which is a golden champagne color.
I can never get color to stay on my lower lashline/inner color and was very happy that this pencil stayed put all day! When I first tested it on the back of my hand, the color barely even came off when I wiped it with a tissue, even when I rubbed really hard. Amazing stuff.
On my eyes, it appears a little bit more gold than champagne, probably due to my skin color.
Overall, it's an amazing product to use for highlighting, especially if you have oily eyelids or your eyes tend to water easily.
I also went to Hawaii a couple weeks ago and stopped by the duty free shop in Honolulu. It's like makeup heaven!!!!!!!! Even if some of the brands didn't carry the whole collection, it's so cheap in my opinion...no Canadian mark ups!
I was very excited to see the Paul & Joe counter. Even though they didn't carry the full line, I still managed to grab a bunch of products: body and hair mist, hand creams, pressed powder duos plus a case and some protective foundation primer uv. The scents brings back so many memories of Hong Kong and Korea back in 2008-2009. I've never seen P&J so cheap so I made sure to stock up!

Kose Anmiel Mascara

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm very picky when it comes to mascara. I find that a lot of them smudge under my eyes. I've only been using the Dejavu Fiberwig mascara (for the last 8 years or so) and for the past half year, the Dolly Wink Long Mascara (the volume one smudges).
I was happy to see that there was a new fiber mascara that is apparently very similar to both Fiberwig and Dolly Wink because it comes off with warm water.
It's supposed to have different types of fibers to build length. I find it to be a decent mascara. It definitely lengthens very well, to the point where if I'm not careful, it will touch my glasses lens. There's no smudging, but by the end of a very long day, I sometimes notice a fiber or two under my eyes.
The curling power of this mascara is mediocre, unless I do a very good job at curling with the lash curler. The application is like most other mascaras, if you're layering too much on, there's a tendency to clump, unless you comb it out. I also find this mascara takes too long to dry and when I close my eyes (while using hair spray) I can feel it sticking to the bottom lashes.
You can clearly see how much fiber is packed into this mascara, it's even fuzzier than Dolly Wink and Fiberwig mascara. The first few times I used it, I felt one of the fibers in my eye, but lucky for me I wasn't wearing contact lenses.
The mascara comes off with warm water, although I find that I have to massage it longer than the other fiber mascaras to take it off.
In the end, I would probably not repurchase. When I look back at the cons, it's not really worth it unless there's a special package like bonus eyeliner or something.

Melliesh Blush

Oh wow, time flew by so fast! I totally forgot to do a review on the Jill Stuart set, but to be honest, I haven't really been using it. All I can say is, the smell reminds me of Lancome's Miracle perfume and doesn't last long at all!

I decided it was time for a new highlighter. I was tempted to get the Dolly Wink beige highlighter compact but I don't know how I ended up with the Melliesh Cheek Color 06.
I purchased this on the Sasa website for about $15CAD.
I was pretty surprised at the size, I thought 4g would be very small, but it's pretty big. This is great for those like me that like to try many different things so having it smaller works great.
The color is a very pale lavender with practically no visible shimmer. If you look very very hard then you will notice the slightest bit of shimmer.
Here it is compared to the Maquillage cheek sculptor blush. I can't remember the name of the blush since it's not on the case, but it came out a few years ago.
The lavender highlighter shade in the Maquillage blush is very similar to Melliesh, except Maquillage has much more visible pearly shimmer to it.
The highlighter blended very well to my cheeks without a chalky finish. I layered it two times to get a pretty glow. I kind of wish there was a bit more shimmer to it, but overall it gives a very beautiful natural glow.
See, no visible shimmer and the lavender color is very pale. Although it's very pale, my coworker noticed that my skin looked more radiant!
I'm not actually too sure how long it lasted on my cheeks, considering there is no shimmer for me to see how much it faded.
