Creamy Gold x Purple

I keep telling myself, "Reply to comments/posts, reply reply reply!" since I'm not working, but I have been so addicted to playing World of Warcraft for the past month hahaha. I don't feel as motivated to blog as much, I dunno what to write about =/

For the past week, I've been doing the same makeup look to try to rotate everything in my vanity.
I'm liking this gold and purple combination. Although I have the Maquillage Forming Shiny Eyes 52 (which has the gold and purple combo), I like using the cream shadows for this because it's a lot more shimmery...plus it lasts along time. The purple in the FS Eyes is meant for lining and blending it is a bit more difficult for this look imo.

Using:
JS Crystal Sky 08 purple
Coffret D'or Fluffy Shine eyes gold
MM Liner BK911
MM Lash Expander Frame PLus (not pictured)
Fiberwig mascara
Coffret D'or Blend Color Blush OR24
Lunasol lipstick Coral Pink

I think I either need to apply more blush or stop sitting in front of the window to take my pics, cuz it doesn't show up at all hehe.

My eyes were so puffy in this picture bah! But better the next day.

A while back I also won a contest from AbcgrrrL, she sent me some OPI nail polishes and some other goodies! I ate all the candies on a day =p
I loooooove the OPI polishes sooo much, especially the blue one (Absolutely Alice). With 2 layers, I get gorgeous super sparkly nails. She also sent me some of my favourite drug store products! Neutrogena eye makeup remover and Aveeno moisturizer! Can't live without these, well..for the exception of in Korea haha. Thank you again!! =)

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. It has been a beautiful 20C in Toronto today =D

More Study, Less Blogging

School started on Monday and I'm already feeling so overwhemled by the amount of info I need to absorb.
I knew taking the TESL course would be difficult, but didn't think it would be that intensive. So many readings and so many things to remember and re-learn, namely grammer.
I was so embarassed during participation in my observation time because I didn't remember what "parts of speech" were and how to explain them!
When you've grown up learning English all or most of your life, you don't stop to think "A preposition is the words used to describe yadda yadda yadda.." I say that because I still can't remember it!! It just comes naturally to you and who really stops to think about what is what in a sentence?

With that said, I probably will be putting my updating to maybe 1-2 times a month. It's difficult to deal with this course especially when I have to cram a lot of info into 6 weeks.

On with the post...
A while back, I entered Katie's (GirlAboutTown88) collection contest and won! Yippee! This girl is super generous. She jammed packed the box with lots more stuff that wasn't even included in the prize pack =D Quite exciting for me because I've NEVER used MAC in my life! I don't think using eyeliner and the eyeshadow 2-3 times really counts haha. She sent me 2 pretty MAC lipsticks one including the LE Hello Kitty. Thankq Katie!!!!

Oh, she also slipped in a box of mini food. I let out a little scream when I saw it. This is super cute. I've never seen this set before, it's called "Special cakes for me" and you can probably guess it's a cake mini food set.
It's super cute and detailed! I immediately made room in my display case for it =) Thank you again Katie!

And before I head to do some more reading.. I thought I'd show you a picture of one of my cats sleeping with his little tooth sticking out =p His name is Wasabi, but I like to called him "bum bum" because he also sticks his tail and butt in the air whenever he sees someone.

That's it for now, hope to be back blogging some more soon, but for now I'm just gonna lurk.

Christmas Goodies

This year, I'm on a bit of a money crunch so I wasn't able to get any of my friends anything for Christmas. We didn't exchange any gifts, but lucky for me I participated in Kay's Secret Santa! Kay was my secret santa and this is the only present I got from a friend this year. She sent me the Visee LE Glam Hunt Eyes in Mauve and a Rimmel quad plus lots of goodies and candies. The candies are all gone now XD Thank you so much Kay!! <3<3 I'm excited to try the shadows out.

Boxing Day sales usually suck. I find that as the years go by, the crappier the sales are. I still went to Eaton Center to see what I could pick up because my grandma gave me some red pocket money for Christmas. I didn't find anything I liked, so as I was going back to the subway, I noticed Lush had some sales. And what a sale! It was buy any wrapped gift get 1 free or buy any holiday product or soaps and get 2 free! I ended up getting about 0.8kg of Snowcake and a sample of the Figs and Leaves soap. I actually went 2 separate times to Lush cuz I had to stock up on Snowcake XD Any other time I wouldn't splurge there.

It's also finally snowing some more. It hasn't been winter in Toronto because of the lack of snow, it even rained on Christmas day, wth... Oh well I shouldn't complain, since I'll be the one shovelling it later anyway.

Love Pack + Skinfood Yuckies

A few weeks ago, I left a comment somewhere that my hair was breaking and falling out more than usual due to the water in Korea..I can't remember who's blog it was. Anyway, Mika (Beauty Snap) had read it and she offered to send me some shampoos that might help give my hair a boost of goodness. The water in Korea is difficult to create a lather and it's just weird water imo....I think I said this already.
Mika sent me some DHC shampoo/conditioner, Tsubaki White shampoo, Kracie hair treatment, Fekkai protein treatment and a styling cream. I'm eagerly awaiting bedtime to try the Fekkai sample haha. I'm so weird. She's such a sweetie, I didn't expect her to send so much too! Thankq!!
I just used the Kracie hair treatment. I left it in my hair for about 4-5 minutes and omg, my hair is so smooth. Smooth enough that I can run a comb through it while wet and my hair didn't tangle at all.
Thankq again Mika! Just watch out now XD BTW, her writing is so neat.

I got a Skinfood cleanser for Tim to use, it's the Tea Tree Cleansing Foam. After Tim used it once, he was like "it smells like tar!" I opened the tube to take a sniff, but I could only smell like tea tree/woody smells. I tried this the next day and holy crap...it smelled like I was using asphalt on my face, gross!!!!!!! I didn't use it again so I can't let you know how well it washes. I just wanna warn people that this smells so bad!!!!!! *sigh* Skinfood cleansers have been a hit or miss for me.
I'm still using the Laneige Pore cleanser (blue tube) so I don't have to suffer with asphalt smelling skin. But I'm hating the Laneige cleanser right now. The smell lingers too long and it's so strong, I don't even know why I repurchased it. Waiting to finish it so I can try the Hanskin ones.

I finally watched Terminator 4. I'm so behind in movies, I haven't even seen Watchmen or Transformers 2. I was supposed to see it yesterday but the only one with enough seats was at 9:45pm. I wasn't going to wait till then, especially since I had school the next day. I'm gonna make it a date to see Transformers this Friday, no one spoil it for me!!! XDXD

I can't seem to finish my Seoul shopping guide. There's just too much to write, I didn't expect to take this long....trying!!

I have successfully stayed away from blogger for 2 days...at home..so Tim wouldn't pester me about it. I've left a few comments while I was at work on the comment boxes that worked on my school computer.
I got a little surprised in the mail from Smilecuziluvu! She offered to send me some samples of her Etude House lavender and green bases, which smell very girly. I didn't expect her to send me a bunch of other stuff! The Bigelow body wash smells very minty and yummy, can't wait to use it! Thanks so much!! <3<3<3

It's watermelon season now and although they're popping up at almost every corner (literally), the watermelons aren't cheap! This 6kg watermelon was 8000won, I think they're much cheaper in Canada. There's no difference except the fact that they're so perfectly round and green. Note..that's not my arm haha, I'd be scared if it was.

I want to enter Eki's contest and Pink's conest, but I'm having trouble thinking of an outfit without having to buy more than 2 new things just for it. Watch me end up with similar outfits for both if I do enter XD

School Happenings

I got back from class to find TWO love packs on my desk!!!
The first one is from Nic nic in Japan. We did a swap and I got the Sofina Primavista Keep & Reset pressed powder that I wanted plus lots of extra goodies!! I LOOVE the cookies kit kat!!!! I had it in Hong Kong and wished I bought some more and Nic nic totally satisfied that craving. She also sent Morinaga hi-chew candies in lychee flavour, it reminds me of the lychee chewy candies I used to have a lot of back in high school. I looovee the samples that she sent, can't wait to use it =D=D=D Thankq Nic nic!!!

The Primavista Keep & Reset Powder is supposed to be a finishing powder and touch up powder in one compact. I'll do a review when I have time.
The other package I got was from a friend in Brampton, Ontario. She totally surprised me!!!! Yes! Now I can get updates from the West hahaha. She also sent this hair torture looking device. It's supposed to help add volume and make large curls. I'm still trying to figure out a quick and easy way to use it. My hair bounces back to its flat limp self so easily so I hope to get this brush to work with my hair! Thankq Gloria!!! <3<3<3 I'm gonna hit you back!

So..funny things that happened at school today.
First, I was walking around the class to make sure the students were doing their assignment. I have 1 female student who's really loud, but she speaks a lot of English so I don't mind too much. When I passed by her today to check up on her, she claimed her friend behind her said something about me so I asked her what was it. Then she said out loud, "teacher your bust is too big". LOL...where do they learn this stuff?!?! Damn Gossip Girl! (it's popular with those students) Good thing it wasn't a male student who said that haha.
Next story, as soon as I walked into my grade 7 class, a male student said out loud "hey baby". @__@ Seriously...lol. I joked to the student that he'll get beaten up if he doesn't be careful who he says that to hahaha.
Finally, this Friday is apparently Teacher's Day and students give notes and sometimes gifts to their teachers. I was sitting in my office and noticed 2 of my grade 7 girls standing by the door waiting to be let in by another teacher. Then one of them timidly came up to me and said that she had a note for me for Teacher's Day. OMG...cutest thing EVERRR!!!

Time to sleep, gonna comment tomorrow..good night~!

Chilly Beach and Yume Love

Back to reality.... no more big holiday/weekend until end of July when the semester is finished. Even then, I have a feeling my school will make me sit there with no classes again while everyone else is at home.
I was sooo not in the mood to teach, good thing this week should go by fast because I had Monday and Tuesday off.
I mentioned that I had a big outting yesterday. I was going to a beach right next to Incheon Island (where the international airport is) and it was a 2.5hour journey by subway and bus!!
I was dressed for the beach but it was 10C there!! Stupid weather forecasts...it said it would be 29C in Seoul, but for some reason the island that we went to (Muui Do) was no where near that lovely beach temperature. It was all misty, foggy and just plain cold!! Can you tell I was freezing? I used the towel I brought as a blanket.

I went with some teachers including Tim and the 2 that live in our building (funny we haven't went out till a few months ago..never really had a chance to meet). As soon as we got there, we had to pay the ferry, bus and beach entrance fees. Why would they charge us to enter a beach? Anyway, it was chilly but we still went to a restaurant by the beach and ate on the patio. This huge bowl of noodle soup (enough for 3) was the only thing I had to warm me up. It was sooo tasty!!! The soup and vegies were simple but the amount of clams that was underneath the noodles was enough to satisfy anyone's craving of shellfish.

Going back to school wasn't all that bad. I got my swap package from Yumeko! I was really surprised!!! I was expecting the brush roll to just arrive with a few items because we intended to do a mini blind swap as well. But Yumeko hooked me up!! I'm speechless. I'm gonna get you back one day for all the extra goodies you sent! I hope you liked the swap pack I sent you!!!! Thank you soooo much!!!! <3<3<3> I think I almost died opening the package. It's like eyeshadow heaven! I'm gonna use that Integrate shadow tomorrow and try to take an EOTD. The pink box is a pink blush by I think the Heroine brand. She also sent me a tub of whipped soap that smells absolutely delicious and she included a bottle of Happy Bath Day Fragrance Hair Essence. I'm not too sure what it is. Is it a styling product or hair fragrance? Help Yumeko!

I was tagged by Eri for "What I look like now". LoL..oh gosh..this is like the most unflattering picture of me and my nose haha. My hair's flat, the camera angle is weird...etc etc...but that's me at school. I don't care too much, as long as I have my face on. Can you tell I love the brush roll? I love them bunnies...or anything cute hehe.
I was at school...trying to take a picture without my teachers noticing me. I don't think they would have cared anyway. They'd probably think I was looking at a mirror just like them. They look at theirs at every chance they get.

I'm too far behind on posts to know who's been tagged or not hahaha. So I'm not tagging anyone for this cuz I don't wanna make a duplicate mistake! XD
Well I'm off to sleep so I won't be catching up on all blogs till tomorrow. I miss everyone!!!!

So Much Love <3

OMG I'm pregnant!!!!!
.
.
.
.

April Fools! That was a crappy joke wasn't it haha. I don't think Korea plays pranks and such on April 1st.

I can finally say that I've had a great day at school. I only taught 1 class today because I had a meeting to go to in the afternoon and I got 2 big boxes in the mail. You can probably imagine my shrieks of joy.
First off, the Christmas like package was from the lovely Diana (aka Paperdoll). Seriously, you didn't have to send me so much! The package I sent her was like one tenth of the size lol. She loaded it with glorious junk food and bars of soap that smells sooo good!! All the junk food will go straight to my thighs...but whatever, I'll work it off when I go back to Canada lol. Thankq!! I was soo excited to see the TGIF chips, they're not available in Canada, same with the Rasinets. Thank you again Diana!!!! =D=D=D

My friends had sent me a belated Christmas present hahaha. I didn't take a picture of it because they sent me a bra and panties...they claim that I didn't have to wash my undies everyday hahaha..how thoughtful. Anyway, I asked them to send some tampons over, and half the box was filled with it along with some other items lol. Didn't think anyone would want to see tampons. Thankq!!! I know you read my blog XD

I came to Korea without any lipbalm and look what I ended up with. I'm missing one from Angie because I left it at school, but I gotta do a review on these sometime. So many things to do, so little time. I consider the P&J lipstick to be a lipbalm because it's sheer slightly shimmery.

Everytime I get a package in the mail, there's usually yummy things in it. The sweets seem to have taken over my only kitchen pantry/cupboard thing. Look how healthy I am...there's a bottle of multi-vitamins on the very bottom left.
There's still more coming, I'm expecting 3 big packages from Hong Kong soon. One of the packages I'll get sometime at the end of the month includes some P&J items. I couldn't resist. I was only going to ask Tim's dad to help me get an extra Moisture Cream, but the SA convinced me on the phone to get a certain amount for some free goodies. They're probably just samples anyway, but a nice excuse to get some more things to play with.

My Hair...over the years

Before I tell you about my ridiculous hair styles, I wanted to say thank you to Miss Fuzkittie! I sent her and a few other people something small, and little did I know, Fuz sent me a BIG love pack! I really don't expect you guys to send me anything back XD I like surprising people with things lol. So of course, Fuz totally made my day. Thank you again!!! <3<3<3 you!!! I was surprised at the size of the Rosebud Salve, I thought it'd be small like the Blistex or Lush ones hehe. Gonna try it out tonight!

I'm so mentally exhausted by my school, just last week, one of the teachers (the bitchy one) came up to me and started raging about how I was complaining about her to my head teacher....long story. The stupidest thing was, we're in the same English office, so everyone could hear her talk and she was being very unprofessional about it. I told her that I've asked her to translate everything I say to the students, regardless of if she thinks they understand. She thinks the students understand me and doesn't bother to clarify with them in Korean. I said to her that she can't assume that students understand everything. If that was the case, what's the point of going to school? I stayed calm...I learned that by staying calm I can get to her nerves even more...eventually the head teacher had to pry her away from my desk.
Omg...sorry for that rant! Lol...it just came out as I was thinking about it.

On to my hair! Haha..I think this will be so funny. I seem to change my hair style a lot.
The oldest picture I've posted up was back in 2005, I was in Disney World camwhoring. Prior to 2005, I've always kept my hair short in highschool up until the beginning of university. Most of the time it's above my shoulders. Uhhh..just before this trip, my hair had bright red streaks in it which faded really badly so I dyed it a deep purple haha...what was I thinking?? Red streaks?!?

Shortly after the trip, I cut my bangs because my friend told me to try something new. Haha..it was new indeed...I cut my bangs in a slant and kept it for a few years. This picture was from 2006 during my Shanghai exchange.

Same year, similar hair style, except the back is growing longer.

This hair style is what I called "the lion". I dunno what I was thinking. This was back in 2007. The hairstylist managed to talk me into curling my hair and he didn't even perm it the way I wanted!! I wanted flowly big curls, not little ones! I still had my slanted bangs and I dyed my hair. The hair was so difficult to style and I looked so weird....I permed it straight after 4 months. I couldn't find another picture of my lion hair.

This isn't really what my hair looks like. I actually had a noticable split on my hair instead of combing my bangs forward. I kinda miss this hair color. This was back in 2007.

This was last year in Hong Kong, looks more like my hair now, but with longer bangs and no more dyed hair.

I got hair extensions in Hong Kong and dyed my hair to a deep brown shade to cover the super faded dye from before. I miss my extensions, but it was very annoying to maintain.

I started blogging a few months after taking this picture, so most of you will proably know what my hair looked like after that XD
After showing you some of my hair styles I'll leave you with a picture of this peculiar can. I found it in the same aisle as the canned goods...yum??

Lovely Surprises and Tagged!

I can't stop scratching those damn mosquito bites!!!!!!! It's driving me insane and it's so bad for my skinn!!! ARRRRGGHHH!!!!!
A package from Angie! You're so uber sweet to send me all these goodies! I was quite surprised actually. Thankq so much Angie!!!!! She included some NYX e/s and I have never tried NYX before so I'm curious to know how they work out. The browns are perfect since I'm opting for a more neutal look these days. I can't wait to try the Mario Badescu items too! Thanks again!

A package from Cuttibebe. This was from our swap and I haven't sent out your package yet, sorry!!! I'm going to the post office today...well earlier today because this is a scheduled post =p I hope you get it soon! Until then, I will hold off from opening it! Well..maybe a peek XD LOOK!! The Korean customs opened it!!!!!! Another makeup terrorism threat from the States.

I was tagged by Ning Star!

What’s your favorite eye shadow color to wear?
Pinks, and Browns (I know...boring huh?) and sometimes Purples

What’s the one product you wouldn’t leave your house without?
Blotting sheets and a mirror. My T-zone is a mess by mid day =p Are those products? If not, then it would be the makeup palette and liner I'm using for the day just for touch ups.

What’s your favorite makeup look – high drama OR natural?
I like natural cuz I don't wanna look sooo dramatically different without makeup. Sometimes I layer on a bit more color.

Which feature do you play up the most?
Eyes of course, I'm not good at doing the whole blush face sculpting thing for my cheeks.

Which feature do you try to downplay/cover up?
Dark circles..ewww...but I still think they're noticable at times.

Your favorite makeup brand, if you could pick only ONE to exist?
Right now it's probably P&J. I just spent a poop load of money on it.

Which product have you re-purchased OVER and OVER again?
Imju Dejavu Fiberwig Mascara. I've been using it for at least 4 years (not the same tube of course haha). You should seriously give it a try. Although it doesn't thicken lashes as much as you might think, it really lengthens very well. Best part..it stays put and it's easier to remove than the MM mascaras.

Which product would you NEVER repurchase again and why?
Covergirl lipsticks and lipglosses...blecchh!! They're so drying!

One beauty treatment you would always PAY to have done?
My nails, but I've only done them once and realized I wasn't meant to have fake nails. I don't take care of my hands and I tend to break my real nails a lot haha.

One beauty treatment you would NEVER pay to have done?
Facials that involve blackhead removal, they hurt sooo much!!!!!

One beauty trick you can share with everyone:
I don't really have any, sorry! But I do use those non Q-tip brand q-tips things, the Asian ones, because the cotton tends to stay put instead of going into my eye and under my contacts when I'm trying to fix eyeshadow. Q-tips suck, but I'm still stuck with half a box.

Best advice you've ever been given regarding beauty and makeup?
Fuz's way of applying cream/liquid foundation. She does that patting kinda motion and I found that it helps in preventing flakiness on my cheeks. Check out her vids!

I'm tagging Eri and Beautify My Soul!!

While in HK, I heard Namie Amuro's latest song (Do Me More) soo many times. I thought I'd share the video with everyone since it makes me think of Kim Tia and Yumeko!
