Hair Products

Remember how I said my hair is falling out more than usual in Korea? Well, Mika from Beauty Snap had sent me some samples of hair products that included the Fekkai Protein Rx hair treatment. I tried it out and the next day I noticed less hair fall out.

Once I got back to Canada, I immediately went to Sephora and grabbed a bottle. It cost me $94CAD after tax for the 125mL bottle (wow!), but I think it's worth it. Besides, if it starts to fail, I can always return it XD

The Protein Rx is a leave in "protein treatment" and you apply it all over your hair just before you sleep, then you wash it out in the morning. It's like a thick cream that absorbs very quickly into the hair so it doesn't get all over the pillows. I don't know if I can describe the smell properly haha, but it smells a bit like sweet coconut and milk.
I've used it at least 6 times already and even though I still have a few fall outs, there's way less than when I was in Korea. Besides less hair fall out, I think this is totally helping my hair get stronger because I recently dyed it.

The orange tube is the Marc Anthony hair thickener. It saw 2 tubes in the washroom when I came back. I think this might have come from the shampoo/conditioner sets from Costco.
I used to use this product a long time ago, but stopped because it was too sticky and didn't really do anything for my hair. Now I think the formula has changed because it's not as thick and is easier to rub into the hair.
It works a bit for me because it helps make my hair thicker, but volume wise, it's not really that noticable. Still, it helps, I need all the volume/thickening I can get.

After spending days cleaning my room, it's still not really organized yet, but here's my new vanity table from Ikea. The drawer is enough to hold all my makeup and fit everything on top!

Busy busy, going back to clean my room again. I was slacking a lot on room cleaning and blogging. The past 3 days, I spent at Tim's house playing Resident Evil 5, and we beat it yesterday puhaha.

That's a lot of makeups!! Lolz I admit I often neglect my hair -.- I really should start paying attention to it. I read about this treatment that is supposed to be very good called "ojon" but the price tag is very hefty at $150 or more I think..I'm still considering it *thinking*

Yay I'm glad you liked that Fekkai treatment!! I personally love all Fekkai products.. esp. the green shampoo (I forgot what that one was called, I believe shine treatment?) And your new vanity is so cool, I'm envious of your space to storage makeup and other things. I'm trying to get a new organizing container since I've collected a lot of makeup lately.. Haha trying to buy some Muji stuff :)
Yeah! And even though I got back a long time ago I still feel so slow in blogging.. I guess I'm lazy as well as busy.

94 is hefty! How long do you think it'll last?
My hair falls out crazy too...but wow that is steep...
Keep us updated on whether this fails or lives up to the price!

Awwww, I LOVE your vanity!! I was actually just thinking... since SO moved his desk I could have one if I wanted lol. It'd be bad though, b/c then I'd have more space for everything. Yours is SUPER cute though!

I've got the same problem... my hair drops like no other. A friend told me it could be due to the drinking water having too much chlorine or something. But, a reparative treatment on processed hair is always good!

I have the Fekkai Protein Rx deep conditioner and so far I like it. At first I was a bit iffy about purchasing it cause of the HUGE price tag for such a small tub of product, but the results are really nice.

Your vanity is so cute! And look at all the goodies inside! ♥__♥ haha~

Does it smell weird, the Fekkai treatment that is? Because my mom bought me an all natural hair strengthener that smells like petrol. It works, but I smell like gas while I apply it.

Thanks for sharing your review on the Fekkai Protein Rx hair treatment, I've been using the Phyto revitalizing shampoo which works quite well for fall out as well.

You've got yourself another follower ^-^ In your profile pic is that the way your hair is naturally? ...Because if it is I'd love to have that type of hair! Not dead straight or thin but not thick either!! *cries at my unruly hair*
Btw I used to want to go to Seoul to teach! ..But now I think I'll just go for leisure...and armed with Korean friends ^^

That's a pretty good vanity! I'be been looking for a new one but Ikea's last collection was way to stingy on storage. This seems like a good solution.

I love vanity tables....can't wait to get my own, if I ever move out of my current place! I may have to try that Fekkai treatment if my hair gets damaged again this winter.
