Fairy Flora

I decided to replicate a look from The Face Shop Spring 2009 newsletter. I thought it was a very fresh spring/summer look with minimal makeup. I don't know the names of the makeup pieces that were used on the model, but I'm pretty sure they're new for spring.

I did this FOTD when I got home so the lighting isn't that good. I used the RMK Creamy Makeup base and it pilled! This never happened before and it was quite gross.

I started off with the MM cream shadow as a base. Then I used the colors (except the brown) from the 3D Lighting Eyes 01 to do a gradient look. I made sure I layered on lots of the deepest pink onto my lid but it doesn't show up very well in pictures.
I lined the bottom lash line with the Shu e/s and lightly lined my top lashline with the MM liner.
The close up of my eye is kinda messed up haha. I tried to put on falsies and I failed at putting on the second one, but at least you can see the difference. I didn't like how the falsies felt on my eyes, it was like something constantly poking me. I think I'm gonna try end falsies next time.

The model barely had any color on her cheeks, so I just used the Lavshuca blush and the Etude House highlighting beads. I used the Lavshuca blush under the apples of my cheeks.
I like how the falsies are nicely curled. I think I need to get a heated eyelash curler now because my lashes don't stay curled very well.

Such a difference without falsies, also because I didn't line my eyes very heavily. The Skinfood BB cream give light coverage, so most of my freckles are very apparent in close up pics.

I went to the Lotte Young Plaza and department store and managed to sneak a picture of Banila Co's newest e/s: Gossip Girl. This totally reminded me of Mona XD

I'm in a bit of a dilemma. At the Lotte Department Store, the RMK counter came out with a foundation set for only 100,000won (about $88CAD) and I don't know if I should get it. The set comes with a liquid foundation, makeup base (the one in the jar), silver pouch and some samples. I'm not sure if the makeup base is the regular one or the color control.
I'm so tempted to get it, but then I haven't even used 1/4 of the P&J foundation yet. I only have 2 foundations, one of which I don't use anymore because it's a bit too dark for me. What to do...
Well...it's either that or get the Hanskin conditioning treatment thing for only 13,000won.

The falsies look so natural! Yeah maybe you should try the end ones. Even I can stick them on, so you should have no problems with it.

I agree with K, try the foundation at the counter and mull it over before deciding further!

Missy you can look but you can't haul from Etsy...at least not yet...hehe

The falsies look great on you! (Or the falsie looks...) I feel uncomfortable wearing full ones, but I love outer corner ones! Much more wearable, more natural looking, not as heavy and don't poke you. But...I still think the full one looks great on you. =)

The look is so nice and fresh, perfect for spring/summer!

Is Banilla a good brand? The Gossip Girl one is so cute, makes me think of Mona too!

Thank you! The colours for the Duos were insufficient for a single pan each, so I combined them haha.

Even though the falsies didn't feel comfortable they sure look good on you! I like your look, just in time for spring :)

Aw..nah..it's not a big deal...actually the smith's rosebud salve consistency is similar to vaseline imo...it's like putting some vaseline on your lips. But...it was pretty cheap..only $6...-shrug-

I loooove your lashes!!! My Costco is so crazy, they always have these great brands. They have awesome brands on sale there! Lush's Angels on Bare Skin gave me an allergic reaction on my hand and bumps started to form, but it was fine on my face, am I crazy or what? hahah XOXO

For some reason I can't post a comment on your blog =/
did you get up getting the etude house brush? if not, i actually don't recommend their brushes. i've used the eyeshadow and blush brush and they both feel kinda scratchy...i'm sure they're made with natural hairs..but still doesn't feel that nice =p

Sofie said...

Ah I have that problem with falsies too~ I can't put them on comfortably but they look great on you and your make up looks great ^^

Eeek in the past, sunscreen use to pill on me and I hated it! yuck!

I'm still not use to wearing falsies either! haha

I think your eyes look so pretty with this look!! I love the purple on the bottom and the pinks make your crease look so pretty!

I saw buy the RMK foundation set.. or get some samples first! =P hehe

Hahha the boys seem more active when I'm filming videos.. o.O haha

Yeah I'm still have problems with my videos. Some say it works through google reader or going directly to youtube, and not having my blog open. Or just downloading them. sorry!
